How has the quarantine impacted boomers’ health and well-being?

Age is just a number, except when it comes to health. Wave 2 of our Boomer Cultures Report looked at health and exercise trends among the boomer population and how cultural forces, as well as COVID-19, have impacted them. One focus of the study was the Asian population, which reported exercising the most frequently of any ethnic group in the study. Despite their regular workouts, Asians reported exercising at lower intensity levels than other groups and were less likely to believe they take good care of their health.

The study also explored the quarantine’s impact on boomers’ mental health. Surprisingly, boomers overall were less likely to report that they were worried about feeling alone, helpless, or vulnerable than pre-quarantine. However, some sub-groups of boomers (older, lower-income, and single) were more likely to report concerns around their mental health. Ethnicity and race did not play a role in answers around mental health. Read the full report here: https://www.sensisagency.com/boomer-cultures-report
